When you see them turn on the siren just as the light turns red and barely get to the other light before turning it off

Saw this happen just the other night.

As a public service employee I can't agree but I do get annoyed when emergency services decide to put sirens on when lights turn to red and half way up the street they drive normal lol

If a road isn't busy and they don't need cars to get out of the way, they won't use the siren - just flashing lights. At intersections, especially when going through red lights, they put the siren on to warn people... I don't think it's because they don't want to wait at a red.

I'm not talking about those instances though.

They'll be coming up to a red light where they'd be the first to stop and just turn it on then down the road turn it off entirely where the light is green and someone is in front of them.
