The prosecutor's office said the funds frozen correspond to the fines for failing to comply with court order to turn over data.

In the most recent decision, the court rejected Facebook's defense that the data of users was the responsibility of telephone and internet service operators in the United States and Ireland, which would require international cooperation.

This is like the 1680171897th time this happens this year.

Whatsapp has been blocked 4 times and the blocks lasts 24h or less because some judge usually outrules the one that blocks it.

Facebook itself has said multiple times they can't share data. HELL, FBI couldn't make Apple break the iPhone encryption, do they really think they could make Facebook share data?

Plus, just today Facebook announced it made billions last year. These frozen assets are just nothing

The worst case scenario is Brazil gets blocked out of every Facebook-owned social, and Facebook Inc. will careless.

Brazilian judges are stupid.

Actually they can. They arrested those suspects of terrorism using data from Facebook and Twitter.

Whatsapp is different tho. They use a coding system, practically only you and the person you send the message to can see it. Hacking or trying to decode it would be near impossible.
