I mean, most of the videos nominated look like they had a $100 budget and were only nominated because they're popular. I feel like they nominated songs everyone knows accompanied by videos that nobody has watched. What's the point in giving video awards if the video sucks?
On the other hand, this video ***** on all the ones nominated for the VMAs combined - shame it was a local hit in Europe so MTV would've never taken it into consideration!
They're VIDEO awards, not song awards. The song in the OP is trashy and dated, but the video is amazing, a product of the avantgrade Russian technology.
Nope, this year has some of the best nominees, everyone thought it was going to be predictable but there was a few surprises. Bey, Bryson, Kanye, David Bowie, Drake, Zara, Chance The Rapper, etc all scoring deserving nominees
