Paulett Gonzalez, who won the title Gay Beauty Queen in 2015 in the state of Nayarit, was found burned in the town of Celaya, in the state of Guanajuato, official sources confirmed to EFE.
Paulett, 24 years old, was a native of Puerto Vallarta and had been missing since early June travelling to Guanajuato to visit a friend.
Parents identified the victim Friday, after genetic tests determined the identity because the body was completely burnt.
According to the NNC president of Civil Association, Mara Red, the girl was brutally murdered and subsequently burned, they do not rule out the possibility that it is a hate-crime.

Annoying ass lives. Now watch the heteronormative mourning she'll be victim and subject to. I am even shocked she is being recognized by the authorities. In my experiences, when people like her hit the news, they feed off the power of the broadcasting agency, where she/the person becomes a spectacle and her body becomes "matter," worthless and disposable. I think normative States need to be reformed in order to make room for gender diversities and varieties. I think my goal and intention is pretty Utopian, but my point is that this killing isn't "random"; I think the State is responsible for killing some while letting others live. Lemme talk about this experience today and make NOISE and GESTURES about the tragic, death world I'm in. I for sure want a different country and citizenship, where ALL people are folded into life and happiness despite colour, dis/ability, sexuality, etc. I want these aspects to not even come into being. They must not be named. People can flourish without "differences." Because here difference is not "bad"...It's fruitful
I used to live in Guanajuato and it is one of the most conservative states in Mexico, couldn't surprise if it was a hate crime. I've heard about other trans women being killed in Leon.
