Faster? There isn't any other way than with a disk drive.
On the bright side, it really doesn't take too long. A lot of new computers that still have disk drives are very fast. You should be able to get through all 70 in about an hour. Maybe an hour and a half.
If you have good connection, it might be faster to just download them instead of ripping the CDs. It's not an issue if you already own them, plus you will most probably download them with tags for your car player, which usually isn't the case when ripping albums, where you just get "Track 1, 2...". Or maybe I'm just living in the ancient times. It's been quite a long time since I've done this myself.

itunes has a feature where it'll automatically tag the songs you import from CDs
My cars the same. I bought a tiny USB stick for the touch screen. If you've already imported them though for use on your phone/ iPod just copy and paste them to the USB from the iTunes file

Cute, I didn't know because my old broken VAIO keeps forcing me to listen through some random Sony player. It's annoying to the point where I just don't listen to music on the computer at all
But still downloading might be faster, depends on OP's preference.

No. When you have iTunes opened and insert a cd into the disk drive, it automatically finds what CD it is. When you rip it, the file names will be there along with all other data. Windows Media Player and most other players that rip music do the same thing. You just have to be connected to the Internet.

Basically this. It does not take long to import songs from CDs by iTunes and with internet connection you don't have to rename the songs. It's very convenient.
