With all the gun violence and police brutality happening in North America and the increasing terrorist attacks in Europe, I was thinking how I almost hear only good news about Australia. I know they have their problems but nothing compared to what's going on elsewhere

Scandinavia is the safest area of the world. Highest income rate, no terrorism and no violence.

Canada is pretty safe (although it was something going on last summer), Iceland/Greenland and also Japan/South Korea/India and strangely Iran are pretty much safe from this type of terrorism.
I had this discussion with my mom earlier today, but Iran is pretty safe from these attacks. It would be the last country that IS would attack. It is located right next to Syria, and if they'd attack them they would be gone within 24 hours. Iran would bomb the whole country.
But otherwise no one is really safe or immune against this violence..

Stockholm suicidbomber from 2010 (or 2011) I don't recall the year, but downtown here in my city where the plan was to kill several people during the Xmas rush because of an Swedish artist that had painted the Islamic phrophet as a dog. The suicidbomber failed and only he died during the bombing.

No, Japan, Korea & Singapore are safer than Australia & NZ. We have more violent crime, though still low by global standards.

Its actually the one time something like that has happened in Norway. Compared to the rest of the world, Scandinavia is safer than the rest of the world.

It depends on what you mean by "safe".

Indigenous people are still murdered and oppressed in horrible ways in places like Australia and Canada, even with Canada seen as some safe haven for the marginalized. A native woman in Canada was literally murdered recently, her body cut up and buried, and all the man was charged with in Canada was the inhumane disposal of a body .

Well, excluding natural disasters (we rarely ever have those tho) NZ is p cosy.

Joshua Jordan Weise, 40, of Calgary, is charged with offering an indignity to human remains. Weise appeared in court in person on Monday, wearing leg shackles and blue coveralls.

"We don't believe there is a risk to public safety in this matter. We don't believe the actions taken were criminal in nature, however the actions taken post-death definitely substantiate criminal activities so those were the charges that were laid," said Insp. Japan is safer because it has an almost homogeneous (98% Japanese) population... It's not easy living there as a foreigner. But an excellent place to travel tho.

NZ is safer because we don't have all those snakes/spiders/crocrodiles etc
