No worries!
This is actually a really bad walk through
it's extremely simple to play, just the guy who is playing it is using a keyboard instead of a controller.
I mean he kept falling off the shelf even when it's simple side scrolling controls

Yeah.
As you can see it was marketed as the "first side scrolling game for playstation" and at the time, nearly ALL video games were sides scrollers on other consoles, everyone was thirsty for 3D games.
2D seemed "old" until around the early 00's when people missed it.
As a Kid I loved the darker, mysterious games.
For what it's worth, they did a good job considering it was the first PS game.
