Why did they literally ruin my account? A few weeks ago, all my gifs turned into videos overnight

You mean that gifv thing? That's been that way for awhile but you can still post it as a gif by deleting the "v" part.

Just use the "Original GIF Link" thing. I noticed that all large gifs with sizes like over 4mb turns into videos there now.
