Nickelodeon is making major strides this week, as they introduce their first gay couple on Wednesday’s broadcast of The Loud House.
The cartoon follows 11-year-old Lincoln as he copes being the only boy among 10 sisters. On this Wednesday’s episode, Lincoln’s friend, Clyde McBride, comes over for a sleepover. Lincoln opens the door to reveal that Clyde has two dads, saying, “Hi Mr. McBride. Hi Mr. McBride,” but makes no big deal over it at all.
The defining characteristic of Clyde’s dads is actually their overprotectiveness. They overwhelm Lincoln with Clyde’s sleepover essentials—a sleeping bag, pajamas, white-noise machine, humidifier, dehumidifier, earplugs, inhaler, and allergy medication—and provide emergency phone numbers. Harold—one of the dadys—warns: “Remember Clyde, no nuts, no gluten, no sugar and be careful with orange juice. You know how you get with pulp.”
Wow, interracial and they're such good parents as well.
Poor the 'Children need a female and male role model'/'Men don't have a motherly instinct' brigade. They can stay losing as children become introduced and normalized to Gay relationships

This part is what makes this good. There may be a gay joke, but the couple is treated as a legitimate couple Technically this isn't the first gay couple on Nick (Legend of Korra has one), but this is still a great move.
Nickelodeon's first gay cartoon couple is Korrasami, you tried Dan Schneider
Yeah but it wasn't that explicit as this or yes?? I mean like married and I heard that some parts were cut and not aired on Nick, so this is a better and bigger step I guess
This is so cool. My heart goes out to all the little gay kids who see two guys married on their favorite cartoon. It's normal. It's fine. No one cares or even mentions it.
