Well, Sony has no new games until 2030 and that Xbox is sinking lower and lower+only one first party game coming this year, they took the opportunity to snatch with the 3DS(the wii u is sinking with the xbox ) and mobile market.

Pokemon Go isn't Nintendo. Nintendo will get some royalties, but it's mostly going to the Pokemon Studio (Anime/Toys)
Zelda E3 swept the attention, but that's because it has a fanbase spanning over 20 years. That, however, won't result in sales. Unless the NX is amazing.
The Mini-NES is amazing, and everyone I know is talking about it (more so than the Wii U was ever talked about).
3DS will be short lived.

Pokemon is owned by Nintendo, Creatures, and Gamefreak. Gamefreak is a subsidiary of Nintendo. So while Nintendo didn't have direct involvement, it's still their property

I hope Pokemon Go inspires them to make mobile versions of their hits (Mario Kart namely) for smartphones/iPad.

That'll never happen, and rightfully so. They'll make mobile games that have basic features (like Go) and that will get people interested in the games on their consoles. Making a Mario Kart mobile game would cannibalize sales of their console Mario Karts.

3DS will be short lived? Sis, where have you been? It's been slaying the charts for 5 years now.

This. Plus, Pokemon slayage will keep going once Pokemon Sun and Moon get released.

The recent resurgence due to Pokemon Go.

Each Pokemon game has been selling less and less since the DS.
I think Nintendo will have to stop relying on fan service and promote Sun & Moon if they want to actually break the downfall.

The Pokemon games have always sold well, but I'm hoping the Wii U means that Nintendo realise they can't do nothing, and expect results.

Nintendo is the most critically acclaim first party publisher out of the three companies and they have the strongest IP.

The other gorls can try it, but the GODS prevail.

1. Nintendo has massive stakes in both Niantic (the developer) and The Pokemon Company. They probably had the largest in put when it comes to creating this game.

2. There were many long running franchises at E3. None got the attention that Zelda did.

4. The 3DS is 5 years old, and has been a success. It has nothing else to prove.

A lot of royalties tho!
