This ain't **** compared to the past. Imagine living in the medieval times. the dark ages, or the black plague. You used to be able to be killed if you weren't religious depending on WHEREVER you lived in the world in almost every major country
The racial issues in America WILL get better, however I feel BLM is missing a powerful but harmonious leader to represent the cause and set things straight. Like MLK. Hopefully one will come.
The problem with terrorism today in Western countries is News sensationalizing everything and terrorists using this to their advantage. ISIS is attacking France I believe because there are so many Muslims who live or have immigrated to the country compared to the other European ones. Through terrorism they are able to turn the people on Islam, which causes severe discrimination and hostility against French Muslims and immigrants. Those disenfranchised are then more susceptible to turn radicalized, which allows ISIS to recruit members more efficiently.
They're not attacking because they hate Westernized countries, they're attacking because it gives them more support, which allows them to be able to spread in the current countries they're attempting to seize.
The world isn't ending. Many terrible things have happened recently, but it's the media that amplifies and sensationalizes it so it feels like civilization is collapsing on itself. As long as you aren't in the affected areas, you should be safe.
