If it released now, it'd do well off the back of pokemon success but nothing spectacular.
Pokemon are cute, most digimon are not. Also the premise of digimon is really building a singular bond with one digimon, not "catching" as many as you can get your hands on.
How would it work exactly? You can't catch Digimon besides your partner.
So would you have to walk around with Agumon, form a squad of 8, then proceed to find and defeat Devimon, Etemon, Myotismon, and Piedmon to "save" planet Earth?
