There are already in-app purchases in the game & unlike most other mobile games, they're not actually needed to progress or enjoy the game.

It's done an incredible job reintroducing people to the franchise. It's obviously a "fad" to some extent, but Pokemon has shown no signs of letting up for 20 years & they've achieved the success they were aiming for - so I have no doubt they'll keep building on it & possibly venture further into the mobile gaming market. They've got 7 generations to introduce into the game as well - so I'm sure it'll hold it's own for a long while. I was out at 1:30 am around the block tracking a Vaporeon yesterday & there were 8 other people in the same spot trying to nab one too.

Pretty sure the game will get even bigger when they release trading and actual battling.

Idk but it's so much fun. Just yesterday at the movies I saw like 10 different people have it pulled up on their phone, and then there were 2 couples outside after the movie walking around the parking lot. It's bringing people back to their childhood.
