New Zealanders,

I am vacationing in NZ and I am seriously SHOCKED at how expensive the fuel is. Almost two bucks per litre? What the actual ****? I've spent at least two hundred dollars on petrol and I'm only halfway thru my holiday. Back in Australia it usually only costs around $1.25 per litre and I thought that was expensive. Geez. I feel so ripped off; please help me. Where or how can I get cheap fuel? I'm tired of paying so much for fuel. Please help.

What are prices like there?

I live in the USA, so price per liter confuses me. I just filled up my car at 2.18 a gallon. So I'm pretty sure you're getting screwed

y'all pay 1.25 per LITER in Australia?

That would be $1.00 for 1/4 of a gallon for me in the states

I would scream @ having to pay $4 dollars for every gallon (which would be double what i paid today, which was like 2.10 per gallon)

RIP the poor New Zealanders too tho

It's not really that surprising considering that were a small island nation that has to import most of our oil to the bottom of the world.

Do you know where or how I can get cheaper fuel here?

$1.25 Australian dollars is $1.71 New Zealand dollars so it's not that much more expensive.
