Maybe BB16 seemed that much more dull because it followed two of the most controversial seasons ever? You had Dan's funeral in BB14 and all this stuff in BB15. I do like Helen and Elissa quite a bit.
Personally, I thought BB16 was a great way to introduce someone like me to Big Brother. It wasn't too crazy and it allowed me to figure out what I liked about the show. The live feeds are a lot of fun too.

You don't even know the half of it if you're just watching the show. SOOOOOO many housemates made racist, homophobic, over the top comments, and CBS chose to pin it all on Aaryn. There's so many horrible things that were said that were never shown. That said, a lot of things Aaryn said were taken out of context for the show. They wanted her to be the villain of the season, and they made sure of it. BB15 is one of the best seasons IMO because of the drama, good gameplay, and just overall entertainment value. Big Brother is about placing people of different backgrounds, as well as different beliefs, in a house together. BB16 is by far the worst thing to ever happen to this show. It was a horrible season, and has negatively impacted each season since. You really should try getting into the live feeds, it is ENTIRELY different than what CBS shows. Haven't watched the TV show in years, give or take every once in a while. & I've been a super fan since 2004. Sooooo yeah, lol.

I don't ignore the live feeds and I've already found other stuff that's worse than what was aired, but it's still not acceptable for Aaryn to have said any of the things she chose to say. I know it wasn't just her, but she's also the one who showed absolutely no remorse when it was brought to her in the house. She also didn't seem to care that she lost her modeling job, because all she had to say about it was that it wasn't that great of an agency anyway.
I don't watch reality tv for pointless drama. If there's a reason and it's part of the strategy, that's fine. Dan's Funeral in BB14 was gold.
I watch the Live Feeds as well as the show itself, because it allows me to see what CBS chose to include, and also shows competitions that weren't able to be seen on the live feeds. I love it, but I'm having difficulty getting through season 15. I'll still watch it though, because I want to see Julie interview Aaryn after she gets evicted. Lol.

I mean at least it gave us Elissa, I found season 16 much less tolerable. I guess if you just base it on how hateful houseguests were then 15 is probably the worst.

Yeah, I'd rather watch people getting along until it's time to start stabbing one another in the back than watch people make racist, homophobic, and violent comments. There are enough reality shows out there like that, and that's why I choose not to watch them.
