Since 2001, It actually seems like it lately! It's really depressing.

Politically I'll take Hillary over Bush.

Mortality wise, you'd have to look at overall death rates not just publicised events. Overall homicide rates could very well be lower than many past years.

What celebrity breakdowns?

Celeb deaths? Yes, this year seems the worse in recent memory.
