I feel like the new generation of youths in the united states are very well educated and are aware of the growing problems that the country is facing during dark times. The only problem is they don't do anything about it. What difference are going to make by going on social media ranting about politics pretending to be an online UN ambassador -slash- peacemaker when they are killing innocent people right across the street? Back in the day people got up from their couch or smartphones (if they did have any) and marched their way to washington making their voices heard loud and clear.

Yes. They are apathetic because so little has happened in the timespan that they were raised. I'm critical of them for not caring (because they have the numbers to provide the power to change things) but I can't entirely blame them for feeling like nothing matters. We've been in a gridlock for years.

But the new generation protests all the time. Nothing changes.

Granted more people could go out and protest tho.

I feel like this is a troll thread. Most of the old people complain that the youth protest too much, rather than not enough.

I feel like america lacks to educate its voters on how the system works.
It's not just voting for the president. If the senate is a mess the president can't accomplish ****.

Aside from the protesting activist groups are doing.. they need to be out here educating ppl that every vote for every election counts. NOT just the president election.

I think we are more awakened then our parents generation ever was or is. we have the potential to make great change but we let the smallest things get in the way and let ignorance over take us.
