the animated series to watch. the point is they are both american classics/iconic not just here but across the globe. the success of the films is so irrelevant lol
the simpsons is the longest running animated sitcom, true, its been around since what...1989? 1990? I believe. So clearly its staked its claim. however, I think in the scope of classic cartoons, spongebob has carved a place in the running as well. if youre having confusion about what i voted for go to my original post, not the response that you responded to. because i have a feeling you think i voted spongebob just because i was defending it as a new-classic animated series.
