I also live in a very diverse city but this happens so often to me, d at the video's accuracy
It's definitely annoying to have been born/raised in a western country but never truly believed to be a "part" of that country if that makes sense.

I live in a city with a very large Asian population (of varying nationalities) and I once had a professor basically tell us all within the first 15 minutes of the first class that we should give him nicknames so it would be easier for him to not have to pronounce our "ethnic names".
