Earlier this year, Beyoncé premiered her incredible visual album Lemonade, prompted endless speculation about "Becky With the Good Hair," and embarked on the wildly popular Formation World Tour. I can't say I'm all that surprised, though — this is Beyoncé we're talking about and she reigns supreme. While she's probably super busy these days, I still have to ask: Will Beyoncé be at the 2016 BET Awards on Sunday night? There's no formal word on whether she will attend, but it's definitely a possibility.
Beyoncé is nominated in five categories, including Best Female R&B/Pop Artist and Video of the Year. The undisputed Queen of Pop also happens to be on break from the domestic leg of the Formation World Tour. It would be the perfect time to slip in a performance at the award show, or just merely grace the red carpet with her fabulous presence.
Beyoncé isn't listed on BET's list of performers for the event, but I am talking about an artist who is known for her many surprises, so I don't think we should entirely rule out even an appearance by the singer. According to her world tour schedule, Bey's last scheduled performance was on June 14 at Detroit's Ford Field and she heads to England to kick off the European part of the tour on June 28. She'll return to the United States in September for the rest of the tour. So, could Beyoncé make a BET appearance during her break? The latest images from her Instagram account show husband Jay Z and daughter Blue Ivy frolicking in an idyllic beach paradise. Sure, the Carter family is taking a well-deserved vacation, but that beach is also just a flight away from Los Angeles, where the BET Awards will be held at the Microsoft Theater on June 26, so it's definitely a possibility.
