All the popular vlogger-types who are branching out to other media... a lot of us on atrl think they're cringy, yet they're bigger than ever . Is this because people above the ages of 18 are not their target audience? What does this say about YT now that so many of their popular stars now cater to pleasing younger people and leave older people shaking their heads? Is YTer becoming more or less friendly to 20somethings and beyond?

I don't know what it is, but I don't like it.

I feel like they do appeal to gays, I've come across loads who like them.

But not ATRL gays. We are mean, judgemental and rude about anything that isn't a female pop star it seems.

Nah, it's literally a fact. It's not a matter of whether I like their content or not. It's more about the objective observation that 99% of these people have NO content to begin with. It's just pointless tutorials and drawn out, exaggerated storytimes

yes. they have a large audience for a reason. people want the content they provide.

atrl always gets mad when something isn't for them

I'm actually not sure. I used to like some youtubers, but I'm not sure if I just became less impressionable with age, or they became more intolerable. I guess it's part of the youtube culture to be as extra as possible so that you're more entertaining than your peers, which explains why they become more fake as the years go on.

My 12 year old sister recently informed me that everyone in her age range is aiming to be a Youtuber these days. Tragic

What do you mean by youtuber? Cause I follow some amazing one that talk about leadership, self development, entrepreneurship and they are amazing.

Not everyone sucks.

There are some Youtubers who aim for higher aged audiences such as Trisha paytas and even Shane Dawson

The only YouTuber I religiously watch is Joey Graceffa and since he came out last year, I love him that much more, he's an amazing person (Daniel is amazing as well and him and Joey are perfect for each other), yes, I might be out of the average age range of his 'Psychopaths' (Teens and younger) and yes, most of ATRL hate him and other YouTubers but I couldn't give two ***** tbh, I'll continue to watch him and support him in everything he does.
