Earlier today Selena tweeted that SG2 is coming very soon, however she just updated on Instagram that they've only been recording for 2 weeks, and she's just starting it.
what if it was finished and she took it before going to the meeting with interscope and then they decided to make her scrap it so she quickly changed story and said two weeks thing
It's good she said this. No matter how far along she is, I don't see how it would make sense for her to release an album anytime soon. The tour will tie her down until December, so she can't really promote until then, and her next lead single's era must be on point. She needs that huge WW breakthrough hit that Rihanna had with Umbrella for example, so she can reach the next level. And it wouldn't be smart to release a single like that in december, when the Christmas freeze is happening so radio support is limited. She better wait until January at least and not tease anything for a couple more months.
I was thinking how can someone be ready to release an album that early thats been recorded in a short amount of time
