Definitely. Their struggle is not our struggle anymore. The gay community makes leaps and bounds with each passing year and I foresee acceptance for LGBs continuing to grow exponentially. Trans issues are ignored and still very real. They need to be highlighted as their own group as to actually bring attention to their issues rather than just getting drowned out by ours.

Us LGBs need to support our T friends. They are still apart of the gay community and always will be. We (as gay people) just need to realize that while the gay community has come a long way, the transgender community still has a long way to go. We need to speak out and support, not separate ourselves.

This! We stand together in the same fight against bigoted homophobes (who also hate transgendered people). Why drop the T when the fight isn't even over? Even when it's over, why drop the T? We were the community that fought back, it'll be our history.

It would definitely give LGB people a better image since transexual people are really not accepted and their issue is different... however leaving them alone would also be selfish and heartless so... I don't know.

I think some of you got this wrong. It's not about LBG people excluding T people, but rather the T community taking a stand for themselves and fight for their own problems and issues, which are slightly different that those of LBG people. Have you even read the article?
