Kelly Clarkson to perform at CMA with Jason Aldean
Quote:
Kelly Clarkson and Jason Aldean have been confirmed to perform their Don't You Want to Stay duet on The 44th Annual CMA Awards next week.
The two singers recorded the duet for Aldean's My Kinda Party album, which comes out Tuesday.
"(I wanted a) singer that had a really soulful voice and that's Kelly's vibe," Aldean tells The Tennessean. "There's honestly not many people in country music that could really make that song sound the way I wanted it to. I'm a fan of Kelly's. Country music fans aren't used to hearing Kelly Clarkson on country music radio, so when they hear that I think it's going to grab their attention."
Double nominee Carrie Underwood will co-host the CMA Awards and is set to perform her current single, Mama's Song. Kellie Pickler is scheduled to present an award.
The show airs Nov. 10 on ABC, live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena.
