Leona Lewis will still meet fans after Christina Grimmie tragedy

Leona is no stranger to meet-and-greet drama. During a book signing at Waterstone's book store in London in 2009, she was punched in the head by a man while she was signing her autobiography. Peter Kowalczyk was arrested and sectioned under the Mental Health Act, and was later charged.

Reflecting on the incident, she continues, "I have had an experience of having someone come to a book signing and attack me, so I've had that experience, I still go out and do meet-and-greets, I still love to meet my fans and I still love to have that one-on-one interaction with them. I would never let anything stop me from doing that."

It may not be the same thing, but an attack is an attack. The man that attacked her was unstable and could easily have stabbed her or worse.

She escaped with bruising, but let's not downplay how scary it must have been for Leona. She could have been killed.

I feel like this is a little unfair to Leona, I don't like the video headline of 'I've had that experience' as that isn't what she was saying.

She was asked about Christina and whether it would change her attitude towards meeting fans and she shared her own story about being attacked at a book signing and how she hasn't let that change her interactions with fans, she wasn't saying it was the same.

You can clearly see in the video below how she was trying to word it carefully.

I have yet to see a thread being fair to Leona.

OP posts threads about her every week as well as the rest. It's a constant kii attempt like it's still 2011.

She isn't doing anything wrong here at all, it's the news headline that could make her look bad honestly. She got attacked but not killed, it's a fair enough thing to mention to relate to the Grimmie incident. And what she said after the fact about continuing to do meet and greets is probably the best message: as soon as you give into the fear of it possibly happening to the point of never doing them again, you let the crazy people win. Keep winning Leona, idk about all your ATRL haters though, they seem to be hypersensitive and triggered
