Fox Issues Statement On Prison Break Star Dominic Purcell's Injury

Dominic Purcell (Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash) was seriously injured on Monday while filming Fox's Prison Break event series. He was struck in the head by an iron bar (a piece of the set) that had become dislodged and fell. The impact injured Purcell so much so that he required 100 stitches and his nose was broken in two places.
"I hear Purcell is expected to be sidelined for a couple of weeks while his wounds heal, with filming continuing around him," Deadline reports. "When he returns, the production will pick up all of his missed scenes, with no cuts to his presence on the series due to the accident."
