Listen let's be true here... I am a Mariah fan... I even bought her debut (in a cassette format, yes I am that old) back in 1990 and since then I follow her discography but I have to state the obvious.... Mariah is obsessed with J Lo since the late 90's before even that track scandal that Jennifer used and you can say "stole" from the files of Sony while it was recorded first by Mariah... That was a low blow I agree but it wasn't actually J Lo's doing. Producers and record execs are to blame here for. But Mariah couldn't accept that Sony was promoting J Lo more than her before that incident. Tommy Mottola was doing everything in his power to elevate J Lo into a new superstar and at the same time he was doing mini-boycotts to Mariah's "Butterfly" and "Rainbow" albums... So many years have passed and still Mariah cannot get over it... If I was Jennifer Lopez here I would answer to the interviewer "I am a huge fan and I particularly love the song that says 'I was like...Why you're so obsessed with me'. So no rivalry!"

Just recently she has said that she doesn't know her, she is not a friend with her, yeah she has met her but that was all, she said I don't know her, she seems cool, and that was it. Yet Jenny keeps bringing that on and on and keeps playing this "victim" role where she has no idea what is going on, and then she says these subtle shady things like "forgetfull" and stuff.. so i wouldn't really jum to a conclusion that it's Mimi who is a bully here and who wants to put Jlo down... k

How obvious its that you either are extremely young or clueless of what was going on inthe late 90's early 00's in pop culture. Everyone in the music business knew that Mariah hated J Lo. Even on Carson Daily trl incident in 2001 when she appeared out of nowhere she entered while Carson was presenting-Referring j lo's new song.... At that exact moment. In 1999 when Mariah received the 'artist of the decade' award the director of the billboard awards showed only J Lo and no other shots from other famous people while she had her speech. Why? Cause everyone knew about the rivalry... Another one. Mariah said in an interview in 2001 about a certain female singer who actually is not a singer but an actress that she stole her sample and she was furious. Also in Larry King live in 2002 BEFORE the "I DONT KNOW HER" incident Larry king asked her if she is bothered about the success and the attention that jennifer lopez was getting... So random huh? Her answer was that she is a singer/songwriter and that J Lo is something different. Music critic also from allmusic back in the day in the late 90's said that Mariah goes mental when she hears the nameJennifer Lopez and that she had forbidden from her stuff any reference to her name... Not a blogger! An established music insider and music critic. Another one. Mariah was supposed to collaborate with Puff Daddy in late 90's and was also validated by both sides for a song but then he started dating J Lo so that was a dealbreaker. So many articles about this ONE SIDED rivalry were circulating in magazines and newscasts all before the iconic and infamous "i dont know her".... I guess some ppl are truly "forgetfull" ��

Well, you're right and accurate also in your other post, let's not forget that Mariah also went to rehab-hospital during that time, the breakdown was very harsh for her, this is why it's not that easy for Mariah to get over it, obviously it's not J.Lo's fault but at the same time she was part of it on Mariah's mind.
I think that the 'I don't know her' is her way also to not acknowledge J.Lo as artist in general.

By the way at this point the thing has became 'stale', I think Mariah should let it go, but I'm pretty sure people will continue ask her because is getting huge on media and the meme always more viral.

This is the weirdest feud ever. They are miles apart in terms of artistry
