3) "Britney Jean" opened with 219K WW, thats higher than both "Bionic" and "Lotus".

4) "Ooh la la" was a bigger soundtrack song than "We remain"

5) and her Vegas shows weren't cannceled like Bionic tour

The best way to measure this is how people react to what's happening in their careers. No 1 truly cares that Britney's BOMBING, not flopping, BOMBING with 107k in the US, and around 120k worldwide in December where albums get a huge boost in sales. It's opposite with Christina since people are so happy, and stay talking about her having the #1 song right now.

Didn't "Lotus" debut with 70K in US and 40K WW in black friday or something like that?

Album sales are higher in December than November. Lotus only fell about 25% in its 2nd week while Brit will fall hard, and be on par with Lotus' total sales in those 2 weeks in its 2nd week. Even Bionic stayed in the BB200 top 10 for 2 weeks.

But the industry was also way better in 2010 than in 2013 no matter if its December or not.
