Beyoncé, well look, she has released 2 masterpieces, 2 great ass ****ing musical pieces that trascend many musical standards, bitch evolved from being a soul/r&b diva like your casual kool aid-ish Ciara to an innovative, creative and somehow intelligent artist who has many ideas.
What? those ideas aren't hers? too many ghostwriters? her feminism is pure bull? doesn't matter.. she agrees to pull off such risky moves over and over and that's art, y'all.
Rihanna is succesfull, but her approach is not that singular. The only female artists who can match Beyonce's status are Janelle and Esperanza because they're wildly original as songwriters and artists. (Of course there are many talented girls but 'm talkin r&b/soul music with a twist)
i think everyone will be surprised to know rihanna actually has sold more this decade than beyonce!
Yet Beyoncé has probably made ten times more from record sales than Rihanna because an album costs around 10x more than a single/stream. In Beyoncé's case, her albums cost even more than that because of the demand for her albums.
Beyoncé does not have an album that sold as much as LOUD this decade.
Beyoncé does not have a song that was as big as WFL or Diamonds or WMN or Only Girl or Work or Stay this decade.
Beyoncé has been the bigger touring act though.
So Rihanna.

LOUD is bigger than any Beyonce era this decade, so is Talk That Talk and Unapologetic I know BEYONCE and soon to be LEMONADE sold around the same but they had one/no hits compared to the Rihanna albums so even those ones are bigger lol. ANTI is bigger than 4 too. Rih >>>

Actually album sales don't bring in as much revenue as touring and endorsements (which Beyoncé has an upperhand in) and so this point doesn't make sense. In any case Rihanna has sold more albums than her this decade.
