What do you think about Tumblr SJWs (social Justice Warriors)? Are they in the wrong? Or do they do a good job calling out racism, sexism and homophobia?

What they are doing is right ... how they are doing it is wrong.. like lets be real saying "ALL WHITE PEOPLE SHOULD DIE!!!!1" Is not the way forward....
and it's pathetic how if you are straight and white you are automatically evil it's stupid. I understand that they want to solve problems and there is nothing wrong with that of course but how they try to do it is pathetic

Also if you try to explain your opinion the only response they can give you is "aw white tears" They are the reason I leaved tumblr lol the site is nothing like it was 2/3 years back

I love how pressed they keep folks after gathering them.

Some of them are too much, but many of them bring up very valid points

I definitely agree. I know those things are just jokes, they don't actually hate white people, but it's definitely tacky and unhelpful.

They annoy me.

I like their principles but they just never stfu and moan about everything.

I should say this doesn't apply to all of them.

"SJW" is a negative and bitter label bigots have given to people who point out thier discrimination, bigotry and who care about current social issues.

I've been called a "SJW" on more than one occasion and I even use it on myself in a way to strip people of the negativity they wanna attach to the title. There is nothing wrong with discussing social issues and if you're, for example, white and you can't handle the fact that you have white privilege and you will be called out for it, the problem lies with you. Not "SJW"s.

Any "valid point" they bring up is overshadowed by straight up lies, distortion, and lack of critical thinking. I blame public schools.

The term "social justice warrior" is thrown at people, mainly minorities, who are tired of being treated like ****. ATRL groups minorities who are tired of oppression as "social justice warriors" too much to the point where, when they are called out on their racism/misogyny/internalised homophobia, they can't take it and over-exaggerate, blaming said "sjws" for being too vulnerable. This makes having discussions about social issues cringeworthy however not because of "sjws" but people like this and this.

I dont think anyone really thinks white heterosexuals are evil but anyone with common sense knows that they have privilege in society.

They're trash. They got #BringBackOurGirls to trend and then dropped it. Meanwhile, you can see one of those girls getting a cinderblock dropped on her head online and NONE of them cared. **** them. They accomplish absolutely nothing and pat themselves on the backs for "complaining."

The term used to have a meaning, but overuse from the bigoted crowd made the term mean "Anyone i disagree with".

That being said, i feel like actual SJWs sometimes take it too far to the point where they are bigoted too, just against white and heterosexual males.

They're doing more harm than good.

They're are overly sensitive to everything and that is annoying.

I think that they do hate white people and blame all of the problems in America today on them.

Like any group of people there are are some that take it to extremes (those who are offended and triggered by everything) but for the most part I love the SJW movement its put spotlight on so many issues that never had attention before and also taught me a lot

Whilst I agree that white people are the most privileged tumblr members take it too far.. like I put a post one time and said everyone deserves to be treated equally and I got called racist because black people deserve more than white people and i should die because I'm white blah blah blah then I tried to explain that I think everyone no matter what age skin tone sexuality should be equal and the only response I got back was aw white tears? lol
