Everywhere I go online I see this "She's pretty for a black girl", "She's pretty to be a darkskin chick", "She's the only black girl..." thing and I don't understand where it's coming from. I see beautiful black women all the time in my daily travels. Natural, weave, short hair, long hair, light, dark, short, tall, I don't see how a whole group of humans can be labeled unattractive when they're so diverse.

UGH one of my friends said that quote in the OP and in my head I lost a lot of respect for her. I'm sure she didn't mean anything by it, but that's not the point. I think so many black women are really beautiful, often times more stunning than white women. I feel embarrassed to say this out loud sometimes because I know other white people will make fun of me, but you know what beauty is colorblind.

I have no clue and it's the same for black guys too but it's not like us black people are helping the situation either because black people say these things too! I get stereotyped for being light skinned and all of that mess. Its all just a mess.
