I took my scoring system from electroheart's Best of 2012: Albums + EPs , who encouraged me to do my own Best of 2012. I also chose to do Albums and EPs.

#25: CALVIN HARRIS - 18 MONTHS

18 Months has spawned some of the biggest hits of 2011 and 2012 and is a great album as a whole. I wouldn't say it was in my 'highly anticipated' section prior to its release, more a 'I have been waiting for this for f-ing ages'. I feel though some would say that Harris relies on megastars to feature on his songs, in my opinion he creates megastars. He is a hit machine.

Favourite Four: Sweet Nothing, We Found Love, Bounce, We'll Be Coming Back

#24: BRANDY - TWO ELEVEN

I was pleasantly surprised with Brandy's 'comeback' and no matter what many 'pressed' people may say, I believe she pulled it off. She may not have returned with the same prevalence she once had, but she returned with a solid album.

Favourite Four: Put It Down, No Such Thing As Too Late, Wildest Dreams, Scared of Beautiful

I also liked Two Eleven! It made my honorable mentions. But the favorite four of yours aren't even songs I use from it

Everyone likes different songs! Those are just my most played from the album, deciding was too difficult for every album so I resorted to that if I couldn't choose. What would yours be?

#23: DJ FRESH - NEXTLEVELISM

After getting the chance to see DJ Fresh three nights in a row at Leeds Festival in 2011 I have always had a slight interest in his music. Similarly to Calvin Harris he is somewhat of a hit-machine. I found the majority of the album to be pleasant with 'The Power' being a low point for me personally and songs like 'Louder' and 'Gold Dust' being extremely favourable, I loved that he did a song with Ms. Dynamite.

Favourite Four: Louder, Hot Right Now, Gold Dust, See You Again

Yeah - I feel the same, but the album overall is great in my opinion. I do miss his older stuff though. (Acceptable In The 80s etc.)

And cheers, quick but effective I find, haha.

#22: NO DOUBT - PUSH AND SHOVE

Excellent comeback. Gwen Stefani really is still looking hot. I do wish she'd do some more solo stuff too though. More average stuff on this album than astounding, but overall a good listen.

Like you said Calvin Harris is now a hit machine, but sadly his music is not that good anymore

that album was a big letdown for me, but I still love it.
Glad to hear that We'll Be Coming Back is one of your favorite songs, mine too!

It's crazy to think I saw Example at the students union of the University in my hometown (Loughborough) and now he's playing massive venues.

#21: METRIC - SYNTHETICA

Metric charted in the UK album charts for the first time with their fifth studio attempt 'Synthetica'. It debuted with prominence in Canada (their home nation), reaching #2. And reaching #12 in the Billboard 200. It's not necessarily my favourite album of theirs, but it's their strongest overall and has a more like-able quality as a whole rather than just a few tracks.

Favourite Four: Youth Without Youth, Speed the Collapse, The Wanderlust, The Void.
