Hip-Hop Artist Drake Sells Two Condos in Downtown Miami
Hip-hop artist Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Drake Graham, has sold two adjacent downtown-Miami condo units for
$2.5 million. They came on the market in January for
$2.4 million.
With a combined 5,475 square feet of living space, the two units have four bedrooms and four bathrooms and are in Marquis Residences, a 67-story luxury building with a spa and fitness center, pool deck and valet parking. Both apartments' living rooms have two-story ceilings, marble staircases and glass walls with views of the bay, ocean and the city.
Mr. Graham, who is originally from Canada, purchased the units in January 2011 for about
$1.9 million total, according to public records. Through a representative, he declined to comment.
The 25-year-old began acting as a teenager on the TV series "Degrassi: The Next Generation." He has since released two Billboard-topping albums and collaborated with artists like Alicia Keys.
Jill Eber, Jill Hertzberg and Danny Hertzberg of Coldwell Banker's "The Jills" had the listing. Kriszti Panyi, also of "The Jills," represented the buyer.
