I'm very surprised they're allowing the 3GS to update to iOS 6 though.
Apple really irritate me when they advertise all the new features in the iPhone announcement as if the features will be exclusive to it when in reality the features come with the iOS update.
I may have to download the update, but I'm not desperate for it like the fanboys.
it's known that occasionally when installing a new version of iOS it ****s up, so basically just to make sure you don't lose your data if this happens you should back it up beforehand
for the record for anyone wanting to download it as soon as it's available, you'll probably end up having to wait hours for your download to finish cos EVERYONE will be swarming to get it and their servers will probs crash lmao
if you can handle waiting maybe like 24 hrs or so before downloading the update it'll probs finish much quicker
