So I went through my rock countdown this past year starting 12/14/07 till today's chart (which will be up soon in its regular spot). I determined there were 64 worthy songs of being on my year-end chart (1 of which was on last years chart). There will be a couple of surprises along the way (2 songs on the chart did not spend a single week in the top 10). Most of it is pretty predictable though for followers of my countdown.
There is no special formula used to determine the order of the top 64. It is simply how I feel now about the songs (it is better and easier that way).
Tentative schedule:
1st update (within the next couple days)- #64-51
2nd update- #50-41 and my top 5 most hated rock songs of the year.
3rd update- #40-31 and my top 5 movies of the year.
4th update- #30-21 and my top 10 most hated songs in any genre of music.
5th update- #20-16 and my top 5 video games of the year
6th update- #15-11 and my top 10 albums of the year (#1 surprised even myself)
7th update- #10-7 and my top 5 most valuable ATRL members list (NOT a favorites list)
8th update- #6-3 and my favorite mainstream songs 10-6
Final update- #2-1 and my favorite mainstream songs 5-1
These 9 updates will take place over no more than 2 1/2 weeks from when it starts (maybe tomorrow). I might decide to put comments with my list but I might also be too lazy to do that.
