4 was great, but BEYONCE just goes to brand new places that Beyonce has never explored. Better more experimental production and more simplistic and creative lyrics. I don't think it's overrated, but I do agree that a few people act like its the second coming of Jesus.

But I have to say the bandwagoning here now is surreal.

She is the female Kanye.

"4" has more quality and is more polished. But contrary to popular belief, "BEYONCÉ" is more radio-friendly than "4," despite being more of a mixed bag of ideas. "BEYONCÉ" also lacks the pristine vocals that Beyoncé is known for and that is present on "4" -- the voice cracking in the track "XO," for example. "4" and "BEYONCÉ" are made for two different types of fans.

She deserves the hype solely because of the unique release and her overwhelming sales, but when it comes to the actual material itself, I actually prefer '4'. It's still a good album and of course it's overrated, but EVERYTHING is overrated on this site.

It's very consistent. Only 1 filler in my opinion (No Angel). I think it deserves the score of around 8 - 8.5, so no.
