He's so right though, the press did WAY too much on Gaga with ARTPOP.....they gave her so much **** and clouded the era with so much negativity. Yet Gaga stood by it, made a video/film for 3 songs from it that she paid for herself, and toured it to the end. While she was touring it, she always talked about how much she loved spreading the message and how amazing it was to see fans embracing it. She stayed proud of it

Gaga became a bit of a mess during that period largely because of stuff going on behind the scenes. She wasn't in a happy place, she felt betrayed by people close to her, and she jumped back onto the scene a little too fast. She fired her manager right before the album came out, she was a little frantic.
