“There’s something called CEQA in California — there’s NEPA [National Environmental Policy Act] at the federal level,” said Newson, who’s running for governor in 2018. “There’s indigenous lands and autonomies as it relates to governance on those lands. There are all kinds of obstructions as it relates to just getting zoning approval and getting building permits. All those things could be made very, very challenging for the administration.”

That’s “just simply never going to happen,” Newsom said of the wall. “It’s logistically impossible. It’s a laughable proposal that somehow Mexico’s going to pay for it. It’s just not going to happen.”

Both environmental laws were passed to protect the environment, and both have been successfully used to block building projects.

Illegals are mostly Latin American. They change the demographic, which is deemed by some as a good thing. The Democrats are willing to sacrifice the interest of the American working class to achieve multiculturalism.

I don't understand it. Especially when time and time again illegal immigration has been shown to push high wages up and low wages down (thus having the hardest effect on the working class and previous waves of migrants).

Again, I don't understand this. If the immigration policy aims to increase diversity, that's fine. But then why don't they take a proportional number of people from countries worldwide to ensure that diversity? Currently most immigration is coming from the same or similar cultures in Latin America, meaning the immigration policy is far from 'diverse'.
