My text to Kendrick after the show. He deserved best rap album... I'm honored and completely blown away to win anything much less 4 Grammys. But in that category, he should have won IMO. And that's taking nothing away from The Heist. Just giving GKMC it's proper respect.. With that being said, thank you to the fans. You're the reason we were on that stage tonight. And to play Same Love on that platform was a career highlight. The greatest honor of all. That's what this is about. Progress and art. Thank you. #grammys
he's been showing these texts to Kendrick all day lol. I dont blame him at all and it would be dumb for anyone to. This is all on the Grammy Committee and their dusty selves
i mean im glad hes humble but he needs to stop. its kind of disrespectful to his own fans to be putting down his work that they support. Be grateful that you won! thats it
What he should be regretting is hogging the spotlight and yakking his big mouth off for Best New Artist while Ryan Lewis wanted to say something but couldn't.
Ryan was pissed about it, too. When their speech got played off Macklemore took the Grammy and went back stage for photos and press, while Ryan went back down the stairs with his hands in his pockets and went back to his seat.
,he's just paying respect to Kendrick like he did even before the award show began .....
