I think it's because the whole list is stupid.

Beyoncé is at the right place but Shakira didn't come from Beyoncé they are incredibly different artists. First of all Shakira works mostly in Spanish and has been around as a solo artist for much longer than Bey.

Why is Janet not on Madonna's and Whitney's level? She might have been influenced, but she influenced the dancing R&B diva.

Janet and Madonna should be on the same level...

I resent the fact that only Paula is under Janet when her influence is clear in Britney as well. Madonna and Janet are both Britney's "moms." Not to mention GaGa being under Christina, and Beyonce under Mariah? Lots of fail there.
