Last May, there was an EF1 tornado LITERALLY a half mile to a mile away from my job. Many houses had roof damage and a streetlight fell over. I didn't even know a tornado happened THAT close to my job until I watched the news the next day

.I LITERALLY thought nothing happened and it was just some upper level rotation.
And then there was that event in 2011.I was on I-40 the day after that outbreak happened and you could obviously tell where the tornadoes crossed the road. The first area, there was a bunch of Twisted, Mangled Trees in the background and one of those green signs on the side of the road got mangled up.
The second area, nearly 30 miles down the road, there were trees down on the side of the highway. I looked through where the tornado had cut a path (this was a thin swath of trees) and one house's roof was LITERALLY jacked up looking, you could see where the the tornado had tried to lift the roof off of the house
We went to McDonald's (this was in a rural area with NO traffic light) and it was PACKED because LITERALLY every other McDonald's nearby was out of power
