Is/Was ARTPOP really a flop? Legit question. And because I'm sure this will get repeated and closed before 2 posts can get in... why is that we can't have a honest discussion about something we all see. I want opinions not shade. Leave that at SYG. So I ask is ARTPOP a flop?

Yes. It has yet to shift 1 million for a big name such as Gaga and I don't even think DWUW is platinum or Applause is 2x yet

It's underperforming by her past success, but it's not at all a flop. She should be happy. The video releases are sloppy, but if this is the music she really wants to make like she said, than she should be happy with it's success. 2 platinum singles and a #1 albums pretty good in my book haha

For Gaga's expectations, yes. For the quality of the album and promo, no.

I'll reserve judgement until we get the lead single.

For Gaga, yes. Especially considering the massive success and sales of her previous albums.
