I think the UK really damaged her image as an artist (tabloids) she was always dragged since Girls Aloud...
she stuck around longer then most victimized artists do though which shows a lot about how strong her star power is/was

add in the fact that the UK is really ageist to female pop stars and that female UK Born popstars in general do not do so well and there you have it.

the argument that its because she cannot sing or w/e is false. because Cheryl has a distinct voice and I have heard many female artists who whisper top the UK charts when their voices are accompanied with a strong beat. Cheryl has a capable voice and is an amazing dancer.

She didn't promoted a lot too, specially after IDC.

It's About Time needs to be the 3rd single, it will flop probably but at least the album sales will be helped.

1. Because she doesnt promote her music properly. 1 performance in Xfactor is not enough to sell AN ALBUM
2. Because out of her 4 albums, 3 of them SUCK so people basically realized that

Meh, she had a chance to be bigger (even in the UK) last era with Call My Name, then she waited ages and released a crap second single. Then there was a two year hiatus, and she comes back with material that wasn't as good as the last album.

well this is true, the second single should've been "Sexy Den a Mutha".
But Only Human is a good album imo.

Because it's bad.
