Cus she's the new thing and she's different (cus she's fat)

Adele has one of the greatest voices of this generation, whilst Florence stays an overrated local hoe. (I don't actually know if she's local - has she broke America yet?)

Adele's more successful. That's the only reason. I find Florence's music much more interesting, the production, the lyrics, the vocals, etc. Adele is nice, but it's not like she's doing something that we've never heard before. People think that just because she's the only successful one doing it right now, she's the only one to do ballads/sing really well.

No one thinks Adele is the only artist who is able to sing ballads sis. She is one of the few who can sing really well though.

Adele talks about heartbreak, about stupid boyfriends, about suffering from love... very relatable.

Florence's songs aren't nearly as relatable to the overall public as hers, but still... Lungs > 21.

I've never really thought about it but Florence ***** all over Adele. Thank You.

Sis, I covered that point, as you see. People think she's some sort of hidden artifact because she can sing well. Umm, Beyonce, Lady GaGa, Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis, Florence, Joss Stone, Melissa Etheridge, etc., etc., all have amazing voices too. But because none of them have the top selling album of 2011 they are somehow "lessor" to Adele.

I dont like either, but adele has a great voice while i find florence's voice absolutely terrible.

It's difficult to justify a preference, particularly in a situation where one is asked to explain why one option is superior to another. There will never be agreement.

But I guess if I were to offer a reason why someone would prefer Adele, I would say that I think Adele's sound is a little more accessible/conventional (not an insult) than Florence's, and therefore I think she's perhaps more likely to appeal to certain listeners.
