And the 34-year-old, who earned a Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy *Golden Globe nod for 2006’s Dreamgirls, is moving past musicals. “Bey’s looking for an iconic dramatic role,” adds the source, who notes she turned down NBC’s The Wiz Live! “She wants to make a film that’s socially relevant to African American rights.”
But the offers continue to roll in, says a source: “She’s always being given scripts to read!”

There's nothing embarrassing about her performances in Dreamgirls (for which she is Golden Globe & SAG nominated) or Cadillac Records. Stop being so ignorant. Especially since the performances you can call "embarrassing" aren't in movies that are actually trying to be award or critic darlings. She was just starting out. She's gotten progressively better.
