Could Beyonce pull off Stay?
Could Beyonce pull off Stay, serve that subtle, but tangible emotion?
Discuss.

As if Rihanna did anything special with it.
Beyonce would have probably done even better.

Of course...
But she would never back-step artistically so far.

She would have oversung it.

This. Rihanna's vocals suited the song but it isn't as if she did an extraordinary job with it.

This is very true. Bow Down will be a cult classic.

You have to serve emotion with this type of song.

There isn't a single challenging aspect about Stay.
Beyoncé can and has done much more impressive and emotional ballads.

She would have sung the song better technically but she can't emote as well as Rihanna and her version probably wouldn't have done anything on charts.

No. It would've flopped just like Best thing I never had, 1+1, or any other single from "4"
Beyoncé would've overdone it and it would have killed the emotional appeal.

No... Beyonce's tone of voice does't fit the song.

Even Bey could pull off "If I Were A Boy", which is imo more emotional than "Stay". Bey would be able to sing it well in ease.
