Amongst speculations from producers and the fans themselves, the news of Rihanna's fourth studio album of "Rated R" being scheduled for a fourth quarter (2010) rerelease has made its way onto the internet.

I think this will be a TFM type rerelease, hence why it's been referred to as a new album as well.

An ~insider~ on RF posted a while ago that it would be like that anyway, and I think that that was before news of the rerelease surfaced.

A rerelease means new music, plus more people will hear RatedR which IMO is her best album
