Both of these singles followed an era of relatively poor commercial and critical success for Kylie and Madonna - 1997's Impossible Princess and 2003's American Life (two excellent albums, but nvm).
Spinning Around and Hung Up both marked a significant return to dance music for the two pop legends, and were met with huge success and acclaim by critics and the GP.
I have to say Hung Up. The respective album was MUCH better, and the song still sounds fresh to this day. Kylie really outdid herself a year later with CGYOOMH and Fever, though.

The modern classic, record breaking Hung Up; since Light Years whole era flopped and no one (outside UK and Australian gays) knows it. Kylie comeback was with Fever era.
