I feel like I always need to put on an act becase if people knew my true personality they would think im too weird or "quirky" which I am.


How can I learn to just be myself

Well I think everyone is a little "extra civil" when they meet new people because first impressions literally define how people see you for the entirety of knowing you 90% of the time (obviously this changes a bit as they get to know you but if someone doesn't like you from the get go, they probably won't ever like you). When it comes to being yourself, just be kind to everyone you meet and they should return that kindness. It requires no act. If they like you and want to be your friend, then you can open up more.
