Known for distinctive vocals, genre-bending productions, lyrics that tell of life, love, sex, anguish, and desire, and album covers lacking color, PJ Harvey's Rid of Me, Liz Phair's Exile In Guyville, and Björk's Debut (all released within a few months of each other in 1993) are each landmarks in alternative/indie music. We at ATRL will be sending these girls into combat to see which one comes out on top.
